SERIOUSLY DERRRRRRP.

Wow. Best Con I went to. I don't think the actual events were good but the experience was EPIC.
I got a table this year at the Artist Alley and did way better than I had ever expected. I may share a table at Anime Boston with a friend if all works out with SAT testing this year.

So onwards to the crack.

Highlights:
-Getting to know 4 AMAZING new people <3
-The randomness of Hetalia meetings
-DERPING with Sweden
-The car ride home with Tim and our cracky discussion about the new Star Trek cast and Heroes
-Seeing my regular friends and poking fun at them.
Downside: 
-Barely ate anything all three days.

This is totally random but I'm so excited for tomorrow. I'm going with three friends for my birthday to see it. Zachary Quinto as Spock. fjsdghlkasf. He's so awesome as Sylar. I psyched myself up for it by watching his interviews with various hosts.

Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day.
I was on vacation and before that, I was sick. I still have a cough that forbids me from having a decent conversation without spazzing into a coughing fit.

HETALIA
I'm disheartened by the amount of people on numerous anime threads, bashing Koreans. They are throwing all sorts of stereotypes and calling them bad people. What the people stopping the show did was wrong, they shouldn't have threatened/blackmailed or whatever but what they did does not reflect the whole nations feelings. In fact, many Koreans were disappointed by the behavior. The people who filed against it were most likely people bitter about the occupation and the whole conflict between Korea and Japan. Also I'm sure propaganda was set up to get people to petition against it, and etc. Had those people been properly educated on the situation, like how the Korean character was not in the anime, how all the countries are made fun of, and that the show is somewhat of a satire, I'm sure less people would have followed the petition and the cancellation.
But I think that a majority of butthurt fans are also setting propaganda against Korea because of it. I've seen many sites posting the videos of the case and so forth, all pointing fingers. Then using sites like of one ultra-nationalist school and their Anti-Japan children's drawings and sites about how Korea is just jealous, etc. When viewers see those things they say how the whole nation is disgusting and how its people are jerks.  Then someone has to interject trying to get people to calm down and explain that not all the Koreans are like this, only a portion as all nations do, and in Hetalia's case just happened to be a part of the government.
All in all, that party shouldn't have reacted in that way and brought censorship to another country and fans affected here need to make less accusations about a country's people when not all agreed with it. People from both sides need to chill and be educated on the situation at hand.
Of course, when these things happen people are bound to respond this way. Still it's sad to see this.

ANYWAY, away from my rant (that's probably riddled with grammatical errors) and to some other stuff.

I'm not going to cosplay as Len though. My friends and I are making the uniforms and my friend who CAN play the violin will be Len. And logically, I'll be going as Keiichi. I kind of want a new wig for him...
It's funny how I'm cosplaying La Corda characters. I never really like the series much. I guess I like the characters but the plot itself, to me, is O.K.

I had a random question about eyebrow coloring. What types of products do you use? I keep getting directions on how to apply color to the eyebrows but not so much on products. I have really dark eyebrows that are kind of undefined in some areas...
Colors I want to use are blue (preferably bright), white, and blond.


I don't even know...

I just got my first job at a local gift shop. It's walking distance from my school too so it's okay that I don't drive.
I have to get training for 4 weeks but I get paid $8/hour, then $8.50/hour once I "officially" work there. Either way, I wasn't expecting any big salary and just wanted the experience for later jobs.
SO EXCITED.
... I start Monday.... <3

Okay, this was for my Health Midterm. It was a lame assignment to make a poem/song/cheer about things we learned in health.
I forgot it was due tomorrow so I wrote it just now. It sort of amuses me so here have the poem.

I'll finish the others, I swear! It's just I got distracted today because of this new series I'm watching, "Michiko to Hatchin". It's actiony and cute all at the same time. I'm only on ep 3 through so I don't know how things will roll later, but for now I like it.

 So the internet problem is still messed up in my laptop.
But I am reading and commenting from another computer. It just doesn't post very well.
I just wanted to say that I still read all your posts and lurve all of you.

A little thing on my weekend:
This past weekend, I volunteered at my library for this writer's conference. I shook Da Chen's hand. I never read any of his books but others have. My hand was all sweaty and I felt kind of bad. OTL. I was this flustery, dorky little teen. Nyah. I also saw Tony Abbott who wrote the kid's series The Secrets of Droon or something. And I helped Nina Nelson. Most of these people I didn't know. But it was still a cool experience. Also very tiring. I ended up eating a lot of the food for the author's and crashing on the library chairs, almost falling asleep. 

Anyway, I'm still alive. ("I'm not dead yet!") 

That's all I can say for now because I'm kind of abusing my power of my Spanish class's Macbooks at the moment...
Macbooks confuse me.

If any of you noticed, I haven't been posting or commenting. It's not because I dislike lj all of a sudden but recently my wlan wasn't connecting and just today it did! so I'm posting that I'm back, hopefully for good, and that I didn't ditch any of you.
